How To Post Videos

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. First things first, make sure you’re registered at SimonsonFamily.com.
  2. Second, head over to YouTube, and register.
  3. Once a YouTube member, click on the upload tab, and sign yourself in, if you’re not already.
  4. That will bring you to a page to enter information about the video. Enter your Title, Description, and Tags. Don’t get hung up trying to do the perfect descriptions– the video tells the story. Adding basic info is good enough. Once you’ve done that, click continue.
  5. You’re almost done! You should now see a page that indicates that it’s time to upload a video. Find the video file that you want by clicking the “Browse” button.

    WARNING: This page will ask you if you want to have the video be “Public” or “Private”. Keep the default “Public” selected, otherwise nobody but YouTube members will be able to see the video.

  6. Once your video is finished uploading, there will be a few more questions to be answered, but mostly, they don’t matter. The only thing that matters is at the bottom of the page: The HTML code that you will need to paste into the blog.

  7. Now, copy the HTML. Highlight it and press CTRL-C.
  8. Head over to SimonsonFamily.com, and login.
  9. Click on the “Write” tab at the top.
  10. Select the “HTML” tab in the top right corner of the editor.
  11. Paste the code
  12. Add a title, click save, and you’re done!
