Since this blog is limited in features, and privacy, and usability, and just about anything else you can think of, Steve has a brilliant idea that we post our news, photos, videos, and events over at http://simonsonfamily.ning.com.
It’s pretty handy so far. Even you should be able to use it.
I was pleased to be able to raise a little money for the BBQ on the 4th of July. I went to several local businesses and convinced them that they NEEDED some Watermelon Awesomeness. The night of the 3rd I stayed up till 3 in the morning to finish them all! The pumpkins are mostly unit symbols for my sword fighting friends.
As always, if you know what you want, let me know and I’ll make a list.

I’m just looking for an excuse to post to the Simonson Family blog because I just installed iPhone support. (I’m blogging on my phone inside Salt Lake City airport.)
Anyway, I figured I’d share a little promise I made with the team at iFLOOR before I left. I told them I would visit as often as I visited my aging mother.
It was meant to be a joke at first, or at the very least imply that I wouldn’t be seeing them all that often. But, as it turns out, I’ll be seeing them for the second time in a little more than 2 months.
Not bad for my usual run rate of visiting by mother.
Jenny’s newborn boy, Jonathon Parker, is celebrating his 0th birthday today amid much crying and sleeping.
In other news, Jenny was the first person in our family to pick the name of her child by putting it to a vote via an internet poll.
That’s crazy! Honestly, how do you even know who voted? What if it was mostly belly rubbers who voted? What makes you think you care about the opinion of these people?
Motion to strike this name from the record! Those in favor? Those opposed?
Thursday May 8th was my last final for the semester, and now school’s out!!! I Love school, but am very glad to have a summer break. It was a little bit crazy at times this semester because EVERY class wanted at least one report, of some kind, INCLUDING my kick-boxing class! I worked hard and here are my grades:
English: B+
Psychology: A
Survey of Art: A
Deaf Culture: A-
Kickboxing: A
My math class was pass, or fail, and i decided to pass! Now if i can keep this up for the next two hundred years, I’ll be fine!
We all gathered at Mom’s house before going to Kristin’s for a BBQ. We all gave Mom flowers or plants, including Malaya and Whitney, who picked dandylions from the front yard. Mom said she felt special, with everyone giving her flowers. I decided to take pictures of nearly every plant, flower, or shrubbery at her house. This is Mom’s “Greenhouse” put to music.
Most of you know by now that as of this Friday, I will no longer be with iFLOOR. I am going to school for computer science. I am planning to start at BCC (Bellevue Community College) and then transferring to University of Washington.
Along the way, I’ll be doing a lot of math, and eating a lot of Top Ramen. In the picture, you see me clutching my first case of Top Ramen. The next four years are going to be full of starving…
